Enable Browser Notifications

Get web browser alerts for driver check-in's, message/comment, or workflow updates on Vector’s Platform. Vector supports browser notifications across the latest Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox browsers.

Here are examples of what they look like: 

Microsoft Edge

Below are instructions on how to activate Microsoft Edge browser notifications.

On initial sign-in, users will be presented with a dialog to enable browser notifications for Vector. Click on Allow.

If you do not see the dialog or mistakenly clicked Block, follow the instructions below to enable browser notifications for Vector via browser settings.

Click on the hamburger menu / three dots on the top right corner of the browser window, then click on Settings towards the bottom:

Click on Cookies and Site Permissions, then click on All Sites:

Click on withvector.com in the list.:

Click on Notifications in the list and select Allow:

If browser notifications are enabled and they are not visible to you, double-check your operating system settings.

Click on the Notifications icon on the bottom right of your taskbar:

Click on the Manage Notifications at the top right of the notifications panel:

Below the global Notifications toggle, the individual applications will be listed, including Microsoft Edge. Make sure the toggle for your browser is set to “On.”

By clicking into the application row itself, you’ll be able to access specific settings for the browser notifications including the ability to play sounds and set notification priority. [OPTIONAL]

Chrome

Below are instructions on how to activate Google Chrome browser notifications.

On initial sign-in, users will be presented with a dialog to enable browser notifications for notifications from Vector. Click on Allow.

If you do not see the dialog or mistakenly clicked Block, follow the instructions below to enable browser notifications for Vector.

Go to the vector website and click theto the left of the web address

Toggle to allow notifications

You will now see notifications from your Chrome browser.
