Yard Management Tools Overview

To access the features of the Vector web app, expand the collapsible sidebar menu by clicking on the three lines at the top left-hand corner of the page. In order to access all things yard management, navigate to the Yard Management section.

The Yard Management section will display all the tools necessary to effectively manage a yard. Here are the main four categories accessible within the web app.

Appointments

Vector integrates with various appointment scheduling platforms and can display appointment information, including past, current, and upcoming appointments. 

Spots & Areas and Trailers

These tabs will display a current snapshot of the trailers in a yard. Use these tabs to understand where trailers are in the yard and what their status is (Loaded, Empty, Departed).

Yard Moves

Yard Moves will help shipping office staff communicate with jockeys for moving trailers. You can view current requests, as well as information on completed, rejected, and canceled moves.

Yard Audit

This tab stores information about previous yard audits. Please note that the yard audit workflow can only be accessed through the Vector mobile app on a tablet/phone.
